Please welcome the Rev. Dr. Lorraine Ljunggren (LUN gren) as our Interim Rector. Her first Sunday at St. Stephen’s will be Advent 1, December 1st. We’ll have lunch after the 10:30 service to greet & welcome Rev. Lorraine.
Your Vestry was unanimous in issuing this call. We are fortunate to have someone with Rev. Lorraine’s experience & qualifications to minister to us during our transition. She is a former business executive and CPA, she has 25 years’ experience as a rector, & she has a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching. Rev. Lorraine is a Certified Interim Priest with a long time commitment to pastoral care.
Rev. Lorraine’s husband, the Rev. Dr. Jim Melnyk, is Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Smithfield, so we will not get to see much of him on Sundays.
Rev. Lorraine will have office hours Monday through Wednesday. She will split time between the Rectory & her home in North Raleigh.
